The SP-BT01 Bluetooth module uses the connection of the AUX input on the back of your stock 9-3 radio.
Therefore the AUX function must be enabled for the module to function. if you already have an active AUX input in your 9-3, the SP-BT01 module is plug & play*. If the AUX function is not enabled it must be activated using the Tech2 device. This can be done at your local Saab dealer or specialist.
*You can check if your AUX function is active by pressing the CD button on your radio twice. AUX should appear on your Saab Information Display.
Because there is only one connection in the back of your radio the stock AUX input will lose its function.
The SP-BT01 module is only suitable for HQ Audio streaming. it does not have a microphone. it can not be used for hands free calling.

Check fuses #3 ,#4 ,#13 and #14. if the ignition switch is on ON while connection or disconnecting connectors a fuse might blow. Always turn the ignition OFF while working on your 9-3
The BLOOTH module name does not appear on my phone when i search for the module.
Check if your ignition is ON. The Bluetooth module is only powered when the ignition is ON.
Check fuse #22 (cigarette lighter). If you work on your 9-3 while the ignition is ON a fuse might blow. Always turn the ignition OFF while working on your 9-3.
My phone is connected but i have no sound.
Make sure the volume on your phone is set to MAX.
Make sure your radio system is on the AUX source. (push the CD button on your radio 2 times)

My AUX input doesn’t work anymore.
As explained in the main page there is only one aux connection in the back of your radio. The Bluetooth module uses the connection of the AUX input so you will have to choose between AUX and Bluetooth function.
